Young Scot is delighted to be working with the Scottish Government on this brilliant experience for a young woman to be mentored by the First Minister Nicola Sturgeon.

Mentoring is a powerful way of helping young women achieve their goals and will help to create a new generation of positive role models to inspire other young women.

It's wonderful that you want to be part of this.

All young women (or young people who identify as female) living in Scotland aged between 18 and 23 (aged 18 to 23 on the 8th March 2017 – International Women’s Day) are welcome to apply. Young Scot is committed to ensuring that applicants come from diverse backgrounds, and geographies, and that we receive applications from young people with additional support needs. The Scottish Government will meet reasonable expenses, including childcare and travel.

As part of the application process, you will need a referee, and we will ask you to provide video or written response to the following questions (you will fill this in later). We'll also be asking for a little bit about your current situation.

How would being mentored by the First Minister change your life and help you to make life better for others?"

With that in mind let's begin. If you have any questions or would like to enter using a different format please contact June Osborne (juneo@young.scot) or call 0131 313 2488.
