Personal Details

The Widening Participation team run a variety of activities specifically designed for school and college students who are least likely to pursue Higher Education. WP Student Ambassadors are integral in assisting with these activities. This year we are ONLY recruiting students who are studying specific degree courses (with priority given to male students) because the nature of our work requires a wide subject spread of ambassadors. These subjects are:

Computer Science
Dentistry
Drama
Engineering
Medicine

To apply for one of the available positions please complete the below questions in full. It is possible to save and return to the form after page 1 if required.

Applications close at 9am on Monday 25th September 2017.

Interviews are being held on Saturday 30th September 2017 between 9:00 and 12:30 - time slots will be sent to successful applicants to choose from. Applicants who are invited to interview will be asked to answer a set of competency questions and deliver their 5 minute 'narrative' (the story of the decisions they made when applying to university). Instructions will be sent in advance.

Training is being held on Saturday 14th October 2016 from 10am until 4pm. Alternative dates for interviews and training are not available. Please consider your availability before submitting this application form.

Due to the large volume of applications we receive we unfortunately cannot provide individual feedback.

To work as a WP Student Ambassador we will apply for a Disclosure and Barring Certificate in accordance with HR policy.
