Specific privacy statement for Climate and Energy Study
Any personal data you submit to the EEA in the context of the “Climate and Energy Study” referred to above will be processed in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 45/2001 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 December 2000 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data by the Community institutions and bodies and on the free movement of such data.
Processing operations are under the responsibility of the Media, social media and web group of the Communications Programme of the EEA acting as data controller, regarding the collection and processing of personal data.
Purpose(s) of the processing
Your personal data are kept and further processed for the purpose of conducting a survey. The survey will help us get a better understanding of the topics, which you find most interesting or relevant to your work, the type of information you are most interested in, and the best way to present this information in the context of the Climate and Energy platform.
The processing of your personal data is necessary for the performance of the tasks carried out by the EEA as mandated by Regulation (EC) No 401/2009 of 23 April 2009 on the EEA and Eionet. In addition, by participating in the survey, you express explicitly your consent to the processing operation.
Recipients of the data processed
No personal data will be shared with third parties for direct marketing purposes. Your data will be accessible by EEA’s Staff and the contracted company Lighting Beetle (https://www.lbstudio.sk/en/), acting as the data processor.
Right of access and rectification
If you wish to access, modify or delete any of your personal data or your comments, you should address your request in writing by email to web.helpdesk@eea.europa.eu. If you wish at any time to withdraw your consent to the process, you should address your request in writing by email to the web.helpdesk@eea.europa.eu. The withdrawal of your consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
Data retention
The personal data you provide will be kept for the length of maximum 2 years.
Right to appeal
You are entitled to have recourse at any time to the European Data Protection Supervisor (https://edps.europa.eu; edps@edps.europa.eu) if you consider that your rights under Regulation(EC) No 45/2001 have been infringed as a result of the processing of your personal data by the EEA.
