The Future of Forestry in Scotland

Introduction

Scotland’s forests and woodlands deliver significant economic, social and environmental benefits. The Scottish Government is committed to ensuring that forestry can deliver more in the future and is consulting on a new strategy for the future of forestry in Scotland.

Scottish Government and Forestry Commission Scotland have teamed up with Young Scot to find out what young people think about forests and woodlands, what you use them for, how you think they should be looked after and what you know about the jobs that they support.

The answers you give us in this survey will be used to inform the Scottish Government’s strategy for forestry and to help the Scottish Government put their new plan for the future of Scotland’s forests and woodlands into practice. Your answers will also be used to help communicate the key ideas in this plan to young people and inform future Young Scot work with the Scottish Government.

Survey results (including your response) will be analysed and reported on by Young Scot, Forestry Commission Scotland and Scottish Government. These reports may become publicly available. Young Scot may also use results to help us develop our services and create future content.

Do you agree for your response to be used for these purposes? *This question is required.
Are you happy for your typed responses to be anonymously quoted in publications by Young Scot, Forestry Commission Scotland and the Scottish Government?

If you do not provide permission then no direct quotes will be used. Your responses will still be included within report analysis. *This question is required.
