UNISON survey on greening the NHS

We are currently conducting a short survey of members and branches to find out your views on what UNISON can do to address another urgent issue, the climate emergency.

Covid-19 has given us an opportunity to take stock and reassess how you as staff working in the NHS can do things differently. This includes changes you can make in your everyday behaviours and the way in which you carry out your day to day roles which will have a more positive impact for both the environment and your wellbeing.

As the largest employer in the UK, the NHS should lead by example to bring about real and lasting change. In order to do this, UNISON recognises that we need to listen to the experience and expertise of all staff groups no matter what your role in the NHS.

We would be extremely grateful if you could take a few minutes to complete this survey. The results will be used by UNISON to take forward our greening the NHS agenda which will include asking staff and NHS employers to take action around green issues, developing an NHS specific green rep role and encouraging branches to organise local green events in order to raise awareness around green issues and to help build our membership.

We want to work with our members and branches to build back a greener NHS that works for both patients and staff.

Thank you in advance for you time.
